Located just across George Bush Drive from Texas A&M University, in the Southside Historic District, this home was awarded its own historical marker. General Earl Rudder and his family lived in the home after a fire destroyed the President's Home on campus in 1966. George and Hillary have completely restored the home and have furnished it with a variety of beautiful antiques.

Breakfast is often served on the veranda overlooking the fountain and flower garden. 

   

Pre- and post-game parties are often hosted on the veranda by football weekend guests.

   

A private entrance leads upstairs to a large guest suite that offers a sitting area, bedroom nook with queen bed, large bedroom with twin beds, large shower bath, table and chairs, TV/DVD, and fully equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals.

Receptions, Workshops, and Retreats

                   

The Great Room accommodates 18 guests for sit-down functions, and the Veranda accommodates 20 guests for sit-down functions.  We can accommodate up to 50 guests for functions that do not require seating.

Both Great Room and Veranda:  $200.00

NOTE:  A security and cleaning deposit of $200 is required for all events.  The deposit will be fully refunded within 24 hours following the event, provided that extra cleaning, replacement, or damage repair is not needed.

Deposit and Refund Policy:

A booking deposit equal to 30% of total is due when reservation is made.

A $25 cancellation fee will be charged if a reservation is cancelled prior to ten days before the arrival date.  If a reservation is cancelled ten or less days before the arrival date, a cancellation fee equal to the first nights lodging will be charged.

Children are welcome - No Smoking or Pets

Handicapped:

The Rudder-Jessup B&B is a historical home, located in a residential neighborhood, and provides no handicapped accommodations.

George, Jennifer, and Hillary Jessup

George retired from teaching and research at Texas A&M after 32 years in Health and Kinesiology.  Known as the "Father of Mt. Aggie," he still teaches Intermediate Snow Skiing.  Hillary retired from academic counseling at Texas A&M after 10 years in General Studies and 20 years in the Mayes Business School.  Jennifer attends the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she is majoring in hotel management at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management.
